How safe is your workplace?

The test contains questions about the safety standard of your plant and machinery.
It begins with some general questions then continues with some typical danger zones.

  1. Are there any specific risks at your workplace?
  2. Do the danger zones have protective devices to stop people from coming into contact with them?
  3. Have there been any accidents at your workplace?
  4. Have you taken measures to prevent them happening again?
  5. Does your workplace comply with the Health and Safety regulations?
  6. Are the prescribed safety devices and protective equipment used?
  7. Is there a written assessment of the various work tasks that shows the need of personal safety equipment?
  8. Are there well-functioning procedures for the documentation of control, operation and maintenance?
  9. Are there sight mirrors set up in corners and hidden places?
  10. Are emergency exits and evacuation routes clearly marked and not blocked?
  11. Are transportation routes marked as required?
  12. Are the transportation routes easily accessible without thresholds and stairways, with spacious or sloping floors and adjustable doors?
  13. Are walkways and truck routes clearly separated where needed?
  14. Are there safety guards over rotating and other moving parts?
  15. Are there emergency handles installed?
  16. Are protective systems, e.g. locking devices, connected and in working order?
  17. Are the machine guards all in one piece and correctly set?
  18. Does the automated work equipment have a stop button?
  19. Are the collision bars and bollards correctly placed to prevent accidents?
  20. Are all cables safeguarded against external influences?
